This blog summarizes the news on building AI applications that were discussed in my seminar on 2025-08-29

A new short course: Agentic Knowledge Graph Construction. The course is from Neo4J, and it adds to RAG. Whereas RAG allows you to talk to your documents by breaking them into meaningful fragments and storing them in a vector database, Neo4J adds structure to your fragments. By organizing them into a knowledge graph, you can add intelligence of relationships to intelligence of meaning.

Scalable Vector DB for AI, Milvus. This is another candidate for a production-size vector DB for RAG, precisely as required by AI applications. Keep in mind that for some applications, Milvus may be overkill, with the alternative: SQLite+FAISS for smaller cases.
